Utica Improves to 13-3 with 6-1 Win Over Johnstown

Rob French scattered four hits and allowed one unearned run in the seventh inning in pitching Utica (13-3, 8-0) to a 6-1 victory over Johnstown (8-8, 3-5).   The win kept Utica undefeated in MBC play.   French (4-1) struck out seven and walked two.

Joe McGuire cracked a solo homer; Justin Wohlford had a two-run double and a single; Shane Conners had a double and a single; Dan Wheeler stroked two singles and Carter Rowley had a two-run single to lead the Utica hitters. – Report by Lynn Fawcett
