Conners Grand Slam Lifts Utica over
Centerburg 6-4

Conners' fifth inning grand slam lifted Utica (9-2, 5-0) to a 6-4 win
over visiting Centerburg (3-7, 3-1) Tuesday. The win kept the Redskins
undefeated in the Mid-Buckeye Conference. Utica, down 4-1 heading into the
fifth inning, cut it to 4-2 when Justin Wohlford's infield ground
ball scored Charlie Rowley. Conners then cleared the bases with a drive
over the right field fence. Conners had two hits and scored two runs on the
night to lead Utica. Carter Rowley had an RBI single.
Utica starting pitcher Dan Wheeler (4-0) struck out 12
batters and scattered 5 hits in getting the complete game win. Wheeler allowed
